At Kompas Kommunikation, we believe that artificial intelligence should be used responsibly, creatively, and in compliance with applicable regulations. This manifesto sets the framework for our shared approach to AI – in daily work, across disciplines, and in collaboration with our clients. Our use of AI is anchored in Kompas’ internal AI SOP and follows the principles of the EU AI Act, including the requirement to avoid manipulation, misinformation, discrimination, and the exploitation of vulnerable groups.
We use AI to enhance creativity, insight, and efficiency. However, we never delegate responsibility to technology. It is humans who assess, select, and make decisions. AI helps us become better – not cut corners.
We document relevant AI use and communicate openly about how we apply the technology. We have processes in place to ensure that all employees have the necessary skills and that we comply with both legislation and our own ethical guidelines. Each employee has a personal responsibility to use AI correctly, critically, and in accordance with Kompas’ principles.
We agree on the use of AI with our clients and adapt to their needs and preferences. We only use AI when it creates clear value and is based on trust – never in ways that may cause doubt or uncertainty.
We treat data with respect and confidentiality – both our own and our clients’. We exclusively use approved, closed, and paid AI systems where our data and inputs are not used to train models or shared with others. Personal accounts or open AI services must not be used for professional work at Kompas.
We stay up to date and share knowledge internally. We experiment, evaluate continuously, and improve our practices as technology and the surrounding society evolve.
